I can’t believe the puppies are six weeks old already. It has been a whirlwind six weeks, full of endless feeding, cleaning and more cleaning. Watching them grow and develop has been so much fun. It won’t be long now that they will be leaving to begin their lives with their new families, and I will miss them. If you follow us via our various social media platforms you have been able to watch them grow, and I so appreciate the comments and well wishes sent regarding this litter. I have more videos that still need editing; hopefully I’ll get those up soon.
I have been asked a lot if we will be keeping a puppy. The answer is yes. The female (pictured above) will be staying here. She’s a lovely pup and we have high hopes for her. As a compliment to her mother’s name, we are calling her Parvati. From Wikipedia:
Parvati (Devanagari: पार्वती, IAST: Pārvatī) is the Hindu goddess of love, fertility and devotion. She is the gentle and nurturing aspect of Hindu goddess Shakti. And prominently, she is known as the Goddess of power and beauty. She is the Mother Goddess in Hinduism and has many attributes and aspects. Each of her aspects is expressed with a different name, giving her over 100 names in regional Hindu mythologies of India.Along with Lakshmi (goddess of wealth and prosperity) and Saraswati (goddess of knowledge and learning), she forms the trinity of Hindu goddesses.
