FitDog Friday

Rama and I grabbed the GoPro and headed out for a bit of a suburban hike today.  I wasn’t feeling well from the time I got up; my head hurt, my back hurt, my neck hurt and I really just wanted to crawl into bed and take a nap.  But I am happy to say I didn’t do that, and we got a little bit of footage from this morning’s walk:

I was very pleased that I surpassed my 10,000 step goal for today.  Yay me!  It’s difficult to get out early in the morning since I have to get the kids ready for school, so any morning that we can get out and it’s not broiling hot out is a good morning.  We were teased last week with a day of 70-degree temps and ever since everyone I know has been hanging on the hope that we will get some more cool weather soon.  I’m so jealous reading all the blog posts and facebook updates on all of our hiking friends who are enjoying nice Fall weather on beautiful hikes in the mountains.  I have a hiking excursion coming to me and I intended to take it this month, but there are just too many things going on this month.    I’ll try for November.  :-/

    I’m pretty “tech unfriendly” shall we say, so I had to go check out what the GoPro was. I was watching the video and was like “what’s that thing on Rama’s back?” I really need to get with the times. I’m glad to hear you reached your 10,000 step goal – we do a walking contest each year at work and I think last time we did calculations only 15% of us met that recommended average. I agree with hiking – it’s my preferred exercise of choice, though if I let Laika decide I think she prefers frisbee but I’m not going to be running for discs anytime soon, that’s all her.

      We’re having a great time with the GoPro. We have a YouTube channel with a few of our videos. I still have some I need to edit. 🙂 I like that some places of employment have contests like that. Very cool!

    I say whatever little exercise you can do still counts – so even those stolen little walks are important. The GoPro video is great to – love Rama’s wiggle walk. Thanks for joining the Hop.

    Great job! We love our walks, that is our favorite thing to do, but we like runs, tracking and nose work too for exercise. Thanks for hooking up to FitDog Friday!

    Definitely walks – though it would be hikes if we had more time to get out and about!
