Fun Stuff In The Mail!

I am so excited.  I came home yesterday and my package from Warbonnet Outdoors was here!  After doing a lot of reading and watching video reviews online, I’d decided I wanted the Warbonnet Blackbird hammock.  This afternoon I took it out back and set it up.  I’m going to need to practice having the dogs sleep outdoors, so I decided since it’s cooler out in the evenings now that we would give it a go tonight.

I tore into the box like a kid at Christmas.  I was amazed at how light the hammock and rain fly really are.

Warbonnet Outdoors has a cool video section where they show you how to set up your hammock as well as the different methods of suspension.  It was so easy to set this thing up, it literally took like 5 minutes.

Tah dah!

The kids wanted to get in on the fun, too, so we set up the regular tent nearby:

It should be nice tonight, with temps around the 68-70 degree mark.  For Florida, that is super nice.   I’m going to do a few backyard campouts with the dogs before we set off for an overnight somewhere else.  They are honestly so spoiled and used to being indoors, I’m sure they will be a bit confused, but I think they will do alright.  A few of them are used to being outside more than others, guarding the property and such.  Cairo and Siren seem to like being outdoors more than Rama does.  I think it will be a bit of a challenge with her at first.

We’ll be updating throughout the evening on our social media accounts, so stay tuned to see how the trial run goes!

That’s a pretty cool looking hammock! It’s nice that it isn’t bulky or heavy. I’m sure the dogs will get used to sleeping outdoors and will probably soon love it, even Rama!
