It’s hard to believe an entire year has gone by since our little Cairo came into the world. In the span of one single year she’s gone from this:
Cairo came to us at 4 months of age, all the way from Prague, Czech Republic. She journeyed from Prague to Frankfurt, Germany, then from Frankfurt to Orlando, where we were waiting for her. We had live updates as she flew, and many of you followed her journey by way of social media.
She went from snow to swampy heat! It has been so much fun to watch her grow and change, learning the ropes from the other dogs and (literally) taking our home by storm. We don’t call her hurricane Cairo for nothing! She is the most mischievous dog I’ve ever had. Here are just a few of the things (yes, you read that right, just a few) she’s decided we didn’t need any longer:
She is exceptionally fond of landscaping and gardening:
She is a sweet, lovable, playful girl and takes her guarding seriously. She is vocal, often singing a pitifully sad song when dinner is being prepared. She loves Sassy. I mean really loves her. Despite her playful nature she is gentle with the kids and has now taken to mentoring little Siren, who hangs on her every move.
I don’t know if I like that idea.
So today we celebrate a special girl and send very happy birthday wishes to her siblings across the globe! Stay tuned for photos from the party (oh yes, there will be a party) with cake, presents and funny hats galore!
